First Choice Spares – Why NOT To Use Them

April 10th, 2008 by Dan Freakley Leave a reply »

Have you dealt with First Choice Spares and have regrets?

If you’ve read my blog before you may have read the topics on here related to Easy Jap Parts and their really shoddy customer service and their huge amount of lies they tell their customers. Not only are their parts not sale worthy. They’re stripped from cars by a bunch of monkeys who couldn’t give a damn about re-fitting them. They’re packaged poorly therefore often get damaged even more in transit. If the part does get to you, you’re lucky if it is the part you actually paid for (and normally advised of its perfect condition – though it’ll be falling to bits no doubt).

How do Easy Jap Parts keep trading?!?!?!

Well, firstly they use third party companies to find their customers. Obviously many car owners will be looking elsewhere and are glad to hear such companies as First Choice Spares and 247Spares can supply them the part they require to get back on the road, or to simply give their ride some T.L.C. Anybody but Easy Jap Parts will do I hear you say!

Well I’m sorry to hear that First Choice Spares and 247Spares are passing customers onto Easy Jap Parts to be ripped off! My advise would be to thoroughly search for your part supplier. There are hundreds in the UK to choose from. You can always give me a shout and I’ll do a search for you, though it’s pretty easy to find a decent supplier yourself. Just be sure to ask who it is you’re paying, and who it is that will be sending out your part. Try and get a few quotes and never ever go for the cheapest or the most expensive. The one in the middle will usually be the best price – as they say.

Let us know if you’ve been ripped off by First Choice Spares and / or their suppliers!

Recently ordered a part via 1st Choice from Andover Car Spares. Paid for it by cheque, never arrived, and no reply to email. All phone numbers inaccessible. Criminals of course but what can you do? 1st Choice doesn’t reply either, in spite of supplying a feedback form online.

After being assured twice that the part available from French breakers was in good order , it arrived with one part missing altogether (broken off ) and the inernal workings worse than the one i was looking to replace. all emails to first choice have been ignored and I refuse to be ripped off further by paying their premium phone line charges in order to contact them. BUYER BEWARE when using this service. I will never use or reccomend it again.

  6. Bad service also from Sunrise Car Spares! Supplied a faulty part (airbag had already been activated!) and will not acknowledge receipt of it being returned – therefore will not give us a refund. I think this firm preys on innocent people. They send out a faulty part, but you can’t establish it’s faulty until a mechanic has time to fit it – and then you have had it more than 48 hours – so first choice are not interested. The firm don’t advise you to return it by recoreded delivery (what is the point as it’s faulty) and then they refuse to see if they have recieved it and refuse a refund. It makes car repairs very expensive as you have to pay out twice. DON’T ORDER FROM SUNRISE CAR SPARES!

I bought air suspension compressor for Merc V Class via 1st Choice Car Spares & their member AGT Cars Ltd,cost £170.00 & it didn’t ,a rusty peice of junk.
Of course having got your payment 1st Choice & AGT Cars Ltd are no longer interested!
    Pay only by Credit Card!

  8. 1st Choice Spaces (or First Choice Spares) are one of the worst companies I have ever ever dealt with. Stupid inexperienced idiots. One step above a baby in intelligence. As my claim is still going through I’ll not bother with exact details. I’d rather people found this and avoided them than use them though, so I commented.

Good luck if you still use them though, you’ll need it.

1st choice spares, first choice spares, 1st choice, 1st spares, 1st.

  11. I have also been scammed by these w*****s. Check their T&C’s and make your own mind on whether they are condusive to distance selling regulations regading the type of product they offer. My feel on this operation and its suppiers is they have a huge stock of unusable parts waiting for the right client to pop along, then are happy to off load this s**t with no conscience. Their customer services, er (customer non-services) doesn’t exist, just some bloke named David Pratt, I think fobbing you off. Keep passing the word so as to reduce the number of other poor unsuspecting purchasers getting “ripped off” These idiots will be the end of buying used parts on the internet.
